Lillian and Kyle’s engagement session at NorthRiver Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was such a fun reminder that a perfect session doesn’t need perfect weather.


We had a very windy, overcast day, but these two made the entire session feel effortless with the way they laughed, played around, and enjoyed being together.


These two recently got engaged, and with their wedding coming up next August, it was so sweet getting to capture this season of their story! There’s something special about those first few weeks after getting engaged, when everything starts to feel a little more real and the excitement of planning a wedding begins.


Even with the wind doing its own thing, Lillian and Kyle were such a joy to photograph. Their session had the perfect mix of romance and playfulness, and I loved how naturally they interacted with each other. The sweetest photos often happen in the moments between poses, when you’re simply enjoying the person standing next to you, and these two made those moments easy to capture.


NorthRiver Yacht Club was a beautiful setting for their Tuscaloosa engagement session, and the overcast skies gave the day its own charm. While the weather may not have been what we expected, it certainly didn't stop us from having a great time!
