MaryKaye and Kaleb came into their engagement session a little reserved, the way most people do when a camera first appears, and by the end, they were completely themselves. That's always my favorite kind of session.
We started at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens before moving to Southside Baptist Church as the evening light settled in, and the timing could not have been more perfect. Golden hour did exactly what golden hour does - it turned everything soft and warm and a little bit magic. Their blue and yellow outfits caught the light beautifully, and the gardens gave us the kind of backdrop that just gets out of the way and lets the people in front of the lens be the whole story
.
And with these two, that was never a problem. Their connection is quiet and genuine and so easy to be around. You can't fake that kind of comfort with another person. It just shows up, and my job is to be ready when it does!
MaryKaye and Kaleb are getting married in March 2027, and I cannot wait to be there for it.
Enjoy my favorites, everyone!!
